Photography and Digital Media
Norwich Arts Centre’s photography and computer department has both chemical and digital facilities that are available for Media Lab Members to use on an hourly, daily or long term basis.
Digital Media Suite
Facilities include:
- 7 Macintosh Intel Core Duo IMacs with CD / DVD writers
- 2MB broadband internet access
- A4 flatbed scanning
- Colour Laser Printing (10p a sheet - Colour or 5p per sheet B & W)
- Final Cut Pro Studio, DVD Studio Pro, MX Studio, Photoshop CS2, After Effects
- 42”plasma screen to view work
- A DV Camera and Digital Camera are available for use on-site with prior arrangment.
- DVD-Rs and CDRs sold on site from the front desk.
Since user accounts in the Media Lab are shared we do not provide any facility for secure storage of large amounts of media over a period of time longer than one day. If you are working on a digital video project or similar we recommend you use your own removal storage device such as a USB2 or Firewire Hard Drive.
Darkroom
The black and white darkroom comprises of six enlargers with facilities to print from 35mm to Wideformat. We also have a high end print and negative dryer. We supply all of the chemicals needed for printing and keep a stock of paper and film on the premises to purchase.
