The result is a captivating contemporary sound with achingly beautiful melodies, virtuoso improvisation and luminous free spirit that transcends audiences. A rare opportunity to experience throat-singing, music and dance from the sacred Altai Mountains of Siberia! ‘Kai’ is Altai’s own distinctive throat-singing style first used in epic performance. With vocal techniques developed over centuries, a range of traditional instruments (fiddle, lute, pipe, jew’s harp and drum) as well as dance, Altai Kai evokes the sounds of the mountains-steppes.
