On Foot

Norwich Arts Centre is approximately 8 minutes walk from the city centre of Norwich. The quickest way from the Market, City Hall or the Guildhall is to walk down either Lower or Upper Goat Lane towards Pottergate. Then cross the small green, and go down St. Gregory's Alley, past the church. Turn left at the end of the Alley - you are now on St. Benedicts Street. Continue along St. Benedicts to the left - you will pass a couple of churches on your right hand side. We are the third church on the right, past all the music shops, and opposite the Ten Bells pub.

By cycle

There are cycle racks located right outside Norwich Arts Centre. Please make sure you use a secure D-lock on your bike. St. Benedicts Street is one way for cars but two-way for cycles along its length.

For information on cycling around Norwich please see the Norwich Cycle Map.

By public transport

Norwich Train Station is 1.1 miles away from Norwich Arts Centre, and is approximately 15 mins walk or 7 mins by taxi. The station has direct mainline links to London, as well as links to Peterborough (for mainline services to the north of the country) and local services for the county and East Anglia. By car

From London, approach Norwich on the A11. Keep going along this road until you reach the inner ring road (there will be shops straight ahead on St. Stephens Street). Turn left at the roundabout on to Chapelfield Road, then keep going (past the Chapelfield shopping mall), until you reach the next roundabout. At this point the Roman Catholic Cathedral will be on your left. Go straight over this roundabout, underneath a pedestrian bridge and take the right hand lane for the traffic lights. Turn right onto St. Benedicts Street. This part of St. Benedicts is one-way, and you will fork left on to St. Swithins Road.

From here, there are various car parks nearby or on-street parking (metered) on St. Benedicts Street (15p for 15mins, or free after 6pm) - please note there are limited places and some parts of St. Benedicts are permit parking only.

See the Norwich City Council Parking Planner PDF for all the Norwich car parks.
